This a top area to visit in Brevard County because of its vibrant art scene and local businesses that keep the area unique, lively, and gorgeous.

Coincidentally, this neighborhood is actually where the Denovo Realty office is located, and we love it here. Although EGAD has been around for a while, there have been many new businesses finding their homes here so it’s becoming increasingly popular within the last few years! We might be a little biased, but we believe it’s truly one of the coolest areas in Florida. Take a peek at some of the popular landmarks, businesses, restaurants, and murals that make this place pop. 

Our Favorite Spots…

The Eau Gallie bridge is only 5 minutes away from the gorgeous Indian Harbour beaches, so a beach day is never far away. Also close by is the EAU Gallie Public Library, complete with a long public pier. After finding a book at the library, come to sit seaside and enjoy the refreshing breeze and views of the water.

Best Restaurants and Bars in EGAD, Melbourne, Florida

These fantastic EGAD spots to stop, grab a bite to eat, and relax with friends are what make Melbourne one of the best areas of Florida to live! FM Pizza is great for a slice or a family-style pizza. What makes this space unique is that it used to be a bank, the exterior of the building is still complete with brick and high columns. It’s very stylish for a pizza place! Make a reservation at FM Pizza.

One of our favorite recent additions to the neighborhood, known for its grilled meats, seafood selection, and cocktails, is Pineapples. Complete with a second-level open-air music venue and rooftop bar, this spot is such a fun gathering place for family and friends. It’s truly becoming a gathering place for the local community to get to know each other! Secure your spot by making a reservation at Pineapples.

Known for its variety of Kava from the South Pacific Islands, Island Root Kava Bar’s goal is to bring locals and visitors together to connect. The bar is complete with a dedicated spot to play a game (or two) of cornhole. Plus, their beverages are unlike any others in the area!

For people with puppies, we recommend Intracoastal Brewing Company. Their brews are top-notch, they host a variety of events, plus they recently added on a two-story complex that’s dog friendly! So it’s the perfect space to bring the whole furry family. Take a look at Intracostal Brewing Company’s upcoming events.

Another fantastic place to stop by for a drink, but don’t be fooled: Lourdes Library isn’t a library at all! It’s actually a speakeasy-style bar. Check out Lourdes Library’s Instagram for more information on reservations and memberships.

Overlooking the Indian River is Squid Lips Overwater Bar and Grill, flaunting a tiki hunt and expansive outdoor space complete with a beach and deck. This restaurant is even accessible by boat, which is why we think it’s one of the best restaurants in Melbourne, Florida.

Art Around EGAD

As seen in our short video, there is so much art happening all around us! 

Some of our favorite murals are Screamland and The Wave. Check out EGAD’s outdoor museum to find the outdoor mural map and explore the area for yourself. As with most art, these murals are even more impressive and breathtaking in person.

A fantastic events space, The Square is a local park complete with an amphitheater, making it another popular spot for gatherings. The Square is centrally located, sitting on the corner of Highland Avenue and Eau Gallie Boulevard; plus the space is available to rent!
